The ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering Programme provides a limited number of partial scholarships to applicants with a very good academic track record, and who are applying for the Masters in Spatial Engineering. ITC is internationally renowned and recognised for its leading research in geospatial sciences and its main goal is to contribute to capacity development in order to promote sustainable, equitable, and digital societies.

Basis characteristic of the ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering.

The ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering is awarded by the Faculty of Geo‐Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente. It is awarded for the nominal completion of the Master’s degree programme in Spatial Engineering at the ITC unless the student fails to comply with the conditions set for this scholarship programme.

  • The ITCS4SE is awarded to students selected by the ITC Faculty, according to the rules and regulations of this particular scholarship scheme. It provides a partial contribution to the overall budget package required for the Master’s degree programme M‐SE at ITC. The ITCS4SE holder is expected to fund the difference between the total study costs and that provided by the ITCS4SE.
  • The Board of the ITC Faculty of the University of Twente determines the policy that governs the framework of the ITCS4SE.
  • The ITC Faculty manages and monitors the ITCS4SE and is responsible for awarding and administering
    the scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE

As this is a partial scholarship, admitted applicants must be able to show that additional funding for the two-year Master’s programme is available to complement the funding through this scholarship (i.e. covering all remaining fees and costs, € 14,496, before the payment deadline)

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Application for the ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering programme is a procedure separate from the application for enrolment in the Master’s Spatial Engineering at the University of Twente. Before applying for the ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering Programme, you first should apply for the Master’s programme in Spatial Engineering through our online application system to become academically accepted.

Additional requirements for the application for the ITC Scholarship for Spatial Engineering Programme include:

  • Residing in and being a national of a country listed on the OECD-approved List of Recipients of Official Development Assistance
  • Having completed the Bachelor’s degree from a well-acknowledged university outside the Netherlands
  • English: IELTS 6.5
  • Relevant background for the intended field of study
  • Not eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.

There are two deadlines to choose from. We recommend sending your application before the first deadline. This allows earlier notification and more time to ensure timely payment of the own contribution.
